PowerVault MD Series doubles host connectivity from previous generation enclosures to support a broad range of SAS, NL-SAS and SSD drives to fit your exact specifications of any workload.
Experience a valuable and reliable storage capacity solution for your PowerEdge workloads with options like the high-density MD2460 with up to 60 x 3.5″ drive slots, the performance-optimized MD2424 with up to 24 x 2.5″ drive slots for 10K HDDs and SSDs, and the low-cost dense MD2412 with 12 x 3.5″ drive slots.
Manage and secure with ease
PowerEdge server management with iDRAC allows you to manage both the in-server storage and external DAS as a single interface, optimizing your 24Gb connectivity. The option to include self-encrypted drives (SEDs) in the MD Series enclosure with drive-level encryption allows you to prioritize drive security by ensuring your data is secure–even when the drive is removed. The SEDs also support instant Secure Erase, which permanently removes data when repurposing or decommissioning drives.
