The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP22D is the more versatile version of the AP22. It has the same antenna array and spatial streams (2×2:2) but has a 2.5 GbE uplink port and four 1 GbE downlink ports for hardwired devices. The AP22D is great for IP phones or receipt printers in areas that need more Ethernet ports and only one in-room Ethernet port is available.

• HPE Networking Instant On Access Points AP22D features Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) which allows access points to handle multiple Wi-Fi 6 capable clients on each channel simultaneously and improve efficiency by boosting overall capacity, reducing latency.
• Target Wake Time (TWT): Ideal for IoT devices that communicate infrequently, TWT establishes a schedule for when clients need to communicate with an AP. This reduces power consumption and can extend the battery life of clients.
• Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO), allows the access point to simultaneously serve multiple clients (Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6).
